Our engineers rebuilt two Webster & Bennett CNC Vertical Boring machines for separate customers based in Lancashire

Both projects were completed by end of May using Siemens 802D controls and 611U digital drives. New guarding was also fitted to give more acceptable levels of safety for the operators.

Two Warner & Swasey 3SC's were also given new control systems by our engineers. This project also involved using Siemens 802D controls.

The customer based in Spain manufactures brake discs for the railway industry. This project was completed by early September.

Our engineers rebuilt a clutch test dynomometer using a Siemens PLC and two 50KW DC drives and motors for an automotive company based in Southern Ireland. A Control Techniques Mentor DC drive was fitted to a Webster & Bennett V.B. in Manchester. We rebuilt a brake shoe grinder with a Siemens PLC system for our customer in Eire. A pneumatically operated metal strip feeder for a Fellows punch press was rebuilt here in Keighley with a Mitsubishi PLC system. The same customer had us rebuild a ring rolling machine because the stroke of the machine needed to be larger. This again was done with a Mitsubishi PLC. Four Cincinnatti powermatics were given rotary tables and we automated them using Siemens S7 PLC's for a customer based in Sligo.

A customer locally asked us to electrically rebuild six pop-rivet assembly machines which were done using a Siemens PLC and a Jaguar AC Drive system. A Sheffield based customer ordered new Siemens motors and drives through us to retrofit his Herbert AL40 machine. We also fitted a Control Techniques AC drive system for a Spring forming machine in Keighley. CT Maestro drives were fitted by us to a Warner & Swasey 2SC for a customer in Huddersfield.
